Blue Exhibition consisting of distinguished examples of nearly a century and a half of Turkish painting, is being organized in order to trace, in the context of a comprehensive mixed show, the line of development -from painting to painting and from artist to artist- of one of the most appealing and congenial yet also "tempestuous" themes in the art of painting. Discover in a realistic "sea setting" the vibrancy of the sea breezes that have blown continiously through Turkish painting since the middle of the 19th century.

Turkish art's admirals, helmsmen, crew hands, oarsmen, sailors, lighthouse keepers, and even landlubblers who just gaze into the distance from shore: altogether in one book for the first time.
